Kyler Murray has been unhappy with the Arizona Cardinals, but it seems contract talks are turning in his favor. It's been reported that the Cardinals are expected to pick up Murray's 5th-year option by the May 2 deadline, guaranteeing Murray around $28 million in 2022. He's also expected to get his contract extension, leading Colin Cowherd to the conclusion that as much as the Cardinals may have wanted to hold out, it's easier to pay Murray than it would be to find another.
