Headed to New York The Sun traded Cloud to the Liberty on Sunday in exchange for the No. 7 pick of the 2025 WNBA Draft and a 2026 first-round pick, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports. Impact Sunday marks the second time this offseason that Cloud has been traded. In late January, she was traded by the Mercury along with Rebecca Allen (back) and the No. 12 pick of the 2025 WNBA Draft to the Sun in exchange for Alyssa Thomas and Tyasha Harris. Not two months later and Cloud is on the move again, this time to New York in exchange for two first-round picks. Cloud projects to start alongside Sabrina Ionescu in the backcourt for the Liberty in 2025, and it's unclear whether Betnijah Laney-Hamilton will also start or come off the bench. Cloud finished the 2024 regular season averaging 11.5 points, 6.9 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 33.3 minutes per game with Phoenix.
