A's OF Josh Reddick got drilled by two throws on one steal attempt

Josh Reddick went 2-for-4 in the Oakland Athletics’ 6-4 win over the Texas Rangers, scoring one run and upping his average to .300 on the year. The most exciting play of the game for him came in the top of the sixth inning.

After singling off Yu Darvish, Reddick stole second base. The throw was a bit off and on the first-base side of the bag as it ricocheted off of Reddick into the outfield. Reddick then took off for third where he barely beat the throw … which also hit him.

It’s not uncommon for a base-stealer to get hit by a throw down to second, but to get pegged by two on the same play? That’s not something you see every day.
