Career day against St. John's Sanogo ended with 26 points (10-17 FG, 6-11 FT), 18 rebounds, two assists and six blocks in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 86-78 1OT victory over St. John's. Impact Sanogo was met with little resistance in the paint in this one, and mixed with the fact that the game went to overtime, it allowed the second-year forward to set a career-best rebounding total. In fact, his 18 boards broke a previous career high of 16 set just last Saturday against Seton Hall. He also scored his most points since a 30-point outing against Auburn back in November, in addition to his second six-block game of the year. It appears Sanogo is fully back into form after missing a four-game stretch in December with a hamstring injury, and he should be considered one of the elite centers in the Big East for the remainder of the year.
