Impact Sanogo is in the midst of a breakout season, and this year's Battle 4 Atlantis tournament has allowed him to continue on the national stage. He tallied 30 points in the tournament opener -- a 2OT victory over Auburn -- before recording his first double-double of the season in Thursday's narrow loss. The second-year center leads the Huskies in scoring (18.5 ppg) entering Friday's fifth-place game against VCU, and if Isaiah Whaley is forced to sit again, it's possible Sanogo could be in for another big game on the glass.

Impact Sanogo picked up right where he left off last season and that's in the paint. He went to work down low and finished eight of his nine makes at the rim. His 20-point night is a career high is impressive considering his struggles scoring last season where he averaged 7.3 points per game. If he can find consistency on offense to combine with his great defense from last year where he ranked second on the team in blocks, UCONN's frontcourt could have another stud.

Proves efficiency in win Sanogo posted 12 points (6-11 FG), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 17 minutes during the 74-70 loss to St. John's on Monday.

Impact Sanogo was easily the most efficient player for UConn in their loss Monday. The center set a season-high in points (12) and still managed a few grabs in the paint. He only saw 17 minutes, but produced excellently in that timeframe. He has been underwhelming thus far, excluding this performance. However, he did see a season-high in minutes (17) and may be given more time moving forward.
