Xavier Castaneda - Withdraws from 2022 NBA Draft Castaneda has withdrawn from the 2022 NBA Draft and will return to Akron next season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Castaneda started all 34 games for Akron in 2021, logging 13.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.9 steals on 31.9 minutes per game. The 6-foot-1 junior also converted on 37.3 percent of shots from beyond-the-arc in 2021 (5.9 attempts per game). Castaneda has opted to return to college, and he will look to bolster his draft stock in this upcoming season.
