Mark Sears - Scoring dropping off Sears finished Saturday's 73-51 win over Maryland with six points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal across 27 minutes. Impact Sears opened the NCAA Tournament with 15 points against Texas A&M-CC, but that happened to be the only time in his last six games he's reached double figures, and it coincided with Brandon Miller (groin) getting held scoreless for the only time this season. It's been a swift downturn for Sears, who was averaging 13.5 ppg through the season's first 30 games. The common denominator has been the re-emergence of senior Jahvon Quinerly, who was used sparingly early in the season but has been let loose of late. Quinerly is averaging 15.0 ppg over his last eight games, which times up almost exactly with when Sears' downturn began.
