ImpactRuffin played 17 minutes and scored six points (3-11 FG) while adding three boards and three assists in the exhibition contest. He wore a knee brace during the game as he is still recovering from a knee injury last season. Coach Kermit Davis said that Ruffin suffered a setback in the exhibition game and will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis going forward. Everything appears to be structurally fine with his repaired ACL, but the knee is still causing Ruffin issues. It's looking like he will miss at least a few games to start the season. True freshman Amaree Abram is an option to start at PG while Ruffin is out.
