LJ Cryer - Nearing return Baylor head coach Scott Drew said Monday that Cryer (foot) is "about a week and a half away" from returning to full basketball activities, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports. Impact After undergoing foot surgery earlier in the offseason, the rising sophomore looks on his way to being back to full health by the time Baylor begins its season Nov. 12. Cryer averaged 3.4 points, 0.8 assists and 0.6 rebounds in 9.9 minutes per game over 20 appearances as a true freshman, but he should be in line for a much larger role as a sophomore after Baylor lost guards Jared Butler, MaCio Teague, Davion Mitchell and Mark Vital from last year's NCAA title team.
