16 points in first game back Hopkins racked up 16 points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 10-12 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 83-64 victory over BYU.

Impact Hopkins played his first game of the year against the Cougars, as he's been recovering from an ACL tear that he suffered last January. The senior forward didn't put up a lot of shots on the floor with three of his seven shots going in and most of his points coming from free throws, but he did play just 16 minutes in the matchup. The former Kentucky hooper should continue to be eased back into a near full-game role as he had last year with 34.8 minutes per game, when the Friars travel to Rhode Island on Saturday.

Even worse, one of McNamara's later posts quoted Providence head coach Kim English saying he was not confident about Hopkins being available for the November game, making his status still doubtful.
