Impact Mills might have ended as Florida State's leading scorer and while the efficiency wasn't there, he did enough to carry the Seminoles to a win that proved to be tougher than expected. He has scored in double digits in two of his first three games of the campaign.

Impact This is a enormous get for Florida State, as Mills has been a dominating force for the Houston Cougars over the past season. The guard averaged 13.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists over 31 games as a freshman last year. Mills will have to sit this season out, but he could be eligible to return next year with the Seminoles.

Leaving Houston Mills is expected to leave Houston after entering the transfer portal Tuesday, CJ Moore of The Athletic reports.

Impact Mills' decision to enter the portal doesn't come as a major surprise after head coach Kelvin Sampson announced a couple days earlier that the redshirt sophomore had stepped away from the program for personal reasons. The Cougars had left the door open for Mills to return to the team later in the season, but he'll apparently check his options elsewhere instead. Expect the 6-foot-3 guard to draw interest from major-conference programs after averaging 9.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 18.8 minutes per game over his four outings with Houston before leaving the team.
