John Newman - Modest line in return Newman (knee) recorded six points (3-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals across 27 minutes during Monday's 69-58 victory over UIC.
Impact Newman started 31 of 32 possible games for the Bearcats in the 2021-22 season, but he suffered a knee injury in the first game of 2022-23 and never ended up returning to the court. Not only does he appear to be recovered, but it seems he's earned a starting role despite significant backcourt talent arriving via the transfer portal. What remains to be seen is whether or not he'll see consistent enough shot volume to stay on the fantasy radar.

Jamille Reynolds - Ineligible for 2023-24 season Reynolds was denied an eligibility waiver for Cincinnati's 2023-24 season, according to Justin Williams of The Athletic.
Impact Reynolds required an eligibility waiver for Cincinnati's 2023-24 season because enrolling at the school marked his second transfer, the first from Central Florida to Temple in 2022. While that move happened without a hitch, his second was not so smooth. By not receiving an eligibility waiver for Cincinnati's 2023-24 season, he cannot participate in it and play basketball again until late-2024. Cincinnati's team is appealing the decision. But only if it is reversed can Reynolds play during 2023.

Aziz Bandaogo - Eligibility waiver denied Bandaogo was denied an eligibility waiver for Cincinnati's 2023-24 season, according to Justin Williams of The Athletic.
Impact Before his Cincinnati transfer, Bandaogo already transferred once (from Akron to Utah Valley), necessitating an eligibility waiver for the Bearcats' 2023-24 season. But by not getting the waiver, he will not be eligible to play until their 2024-25 campaign.
