Johnny Furphy - First career double-doubleFurphy supplied 23 points (7-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 11 rebounds and two steals across 36 minutes during Monday's 74-69 win over Cincinnati.
ImpactFurphy led the Jayhawks in scoring, combining with the rest of the starters to score 72 of the team's 74 points on the night. The talented freshman has started the last four games, improving in each and culminating with the first double-double of his career Monday. Perhaps more importantly, on a night Hunter Dickinson struggled with foul trouble, Furphy showed that he has the capability to step up and fill the void. Prior to three games ago, Furphy had not played more than 20 minutes. However over the last three, he's averaging 33.3 minutes per contest with 17.0 points and 8.3 rebounds on 61.5% shooting from the field, which includes three treys per game at a 52.9% clip.

Dajuan Harris - Dishes out 8 dimesHarris finished Monday's 74-69 victory over Cincinnati with eight points (3-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, eight assists and two steals over 37 minutes.
ImpactHarris was the only starter to not reach double-figures, yet he continues to star for the Jayhawks, adding eight assists and two steals to help spark the victory. Harris has now posted eight assists in nine games this season, including four of six conference games. He's also stepped up his defensive presence over the last four, adding 3.3 steals. Harris will lag behind the rest of the Kansas starters in scoring most nights, but he will also continue to be their offensive lynchpin, leading the Big 12 and standing eighth in the country in assists with 6.8 per contest.
