Ryan Nembhard - Leading passer in win Nembhard produced 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, six assists and three steals over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 80-55 win over North Dakota State.
Impact Nembhard was one of four Bluejays to crack double-digit points, but he shouldered the distribution of the ball for a majority of the night. He recorded assists on both of Creighton's first-half three-pointers and accounted for 37.5 percent of their total assists on the night. The freshman has averaged 13 points, 3.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists through 34.4 minutes per game over eight games this season.

Impact Mitchell missed two games to begin the season due to a foot injury before appearing off the bench in the next four, culminating in a season-high 29 minutes Nov. 22 against Southern Illinois. The third-year guard was then forced to sit out against SIU Edwardsville due to undisclosed reasons, but he was back for a typical minutes workload Tuesday. Moving forward, Mitchell, along with Trey Alexander, should continue to function as the top two guards off the bench.

It initially sounds like Mitchell may not be playing at 100 percent and it'll certainly be worth monitoring how many minutes he plays after missing action over the weekend against SIUE.

Impact Kalkbrenner exited the first half early due to foul trouble and in his absence, the Bluejays yielded 32 points in the paint. The sophomore returned in the second half to record the lion's share of his nightly totals, 12 points, six rebounds and five blocks. He was paramount to Creighton's defense, SIUE scored on just nine of their 30 second-half possessions. In his first seven starts, he has averaged 12.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks through 22 minutes.

Impact Kaluma opened the second half with a putback dunk to get the home crowd energized, and later, his two-hand jam had the entire Creighton bench howling. The only thing preventing him from recording more offensive rebounds on the night was the excellent 53.6 team-shooting percentage in the second half. The freshman has averaged 9.6 points and 4.6 rebounds through 22.6 minutes in his first seven starts. All the while he has maintained a shooting efficiency of 50.9 percent.
