Impact Mitchell was able to go through pregame warmups and head coach Greg McDermott confirmed that Mitchell will be active and is going to try to "give it a go." It initially sounds like Mitchell may not be playing at 100 percent and it'll certainly be worth monitoring how many minutes he plays after missing action over the weekend against SIUE.

Impact Alexander scored on back-to-back possessions to break the SIUE lead late in the second half. He scored five points in the final four minutes where he drilled his third three-pointer of the season. The freshman has averaged 4.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists through 22.7 minutes in his first seven appearances.

Ryan Kalkbrenner - Dominant in win Kalkbrenner notched 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-6 FT), six rebounds, five blocks and one assist across 21 minutes during Saturday's 70-65 victory over SIUE.

Impact Kalkbrenner exited the first half early due to foul trouble and in his absence, the Bluejays yielded 32 points in the paint. The sophomore returned in the second half to record the lion's share of his nightly totals, 12 points, six rebounds and five blocks. He was paramount to Creighton's defense, SIUE scored on just nine of their 30 second-half possessions. In his first seven starts, he has averaged 12.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks through 22 minutes.

Impact Kaluma opened the second half with a putback dunk to get the home crowd energized, and later, his two-hand jam had the entire Creighton bench howling. The only thing preventing him from recording more offensive rebounds on the night was the excellent 53.6 team-shooting percentage in the second half. The freshman has averaged 9.6 points and 4.6 rebounds through 22.6 minutes in his first seven starts. All the while he has maintained a shooting efficiency of 50.9 percent.

Impact Mitchell had been recovering from offseason foot surgery and was finally able to make his return Tuesday night. The 6-0 junior has averaged three points, 1.4 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game over the last two seasons but could be for somewhat of a larger role off the bench as one of the more experienced players on a team filled with new faces from last year's squad.

Impact O'Connell hasn't scored 20 points since he started with Duke in 2018, and after going 1-7 in the first half it looked unlikely he would do so again. However, the senior composed himself at halftime and returned to drain 7-8 shots and steal the ball three times in the second half. That surge pulled Creighton back from a nine-point deficit and catapulted them to victory.
