Tyon Grant-Foster - Taken to hospital Grant-Foster (undisclosed) was taken to the hospital at halftime of Wednesday's game against Coppin State and is in stable condition,, 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Grant-Foster started Wednesday's season opener and played 15 minutes during the first half, and he had nine points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block. The specifics of the situation remain unclear, though it appears he's doing OK after receiving treatment.

Jalen Terry - Out for opener Terry (transfer) won't be available for the season opener versus Coppin State, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Terry is apparently still working through an NCAA issue, leaving him unavailable for at least one contest to open the 2021-22 campaign. Look for additional word to surface once the sophomore has been cleared to play his first game for the Blue Demons.

Ahamad Bynum - Not able to play yet Bynum (not injury related) didn't play in Thursday's exhibition against Montevallo since he's yet to receive clearance from the NCAA, according to Lawrence Kreymer of The DePaulia.

Impact Bynum is awaiting clearance by the NCAA before he can play in games, and that's the same issue that is happening to Jalen Terry (not injury related). According to the athletic department, both are allowed to practice and are attending classes. Both players should be treated as questionable for the season opener next Wednesday against Coppin State.

Javan Johnson - Looking at December eligibility Johnson is expected to be eligible for DePaul in December, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Johnson was a late entry into the transfer portal back in August and apparently settled on DePaul in late-September, filling a wing/frontcourt need for the Blue Demons. After starting his career with two seasons at Troy, Johnson had somewhat of a breakout for the Cyclones last year, posting 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists across 21 games (18 starts). His eligibility was always going to be in question as a two-time transfer, but the timing also seems to hurt his case here. Still, it sounds like he'll get to see the court potentially before the start of Big East play, which would boost a DePaul team with a bit of uncertainty regarding who will be starting at the three.

Yor Anei - Gets waiver for 2021-22 Anei has received a waiver and will be immediately eligible to play for DePaul in 2021-22, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Anei has already transferred once, so he didn't qualify for the automatic immediate transfer. Still, the NCAA has become more amenable to changing schools and Anei is the latest to be granted immediate legibility. The senior posted 6.6 points and 2.2 rebounds over 11 games (one start) with SMU last season.
