Javan Johnson - Looking at December eligibility Johnson is expected to be eligible for DePaul in December, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports. Impact Johnson was a late entry into the transfer portal back in August and apparently settled on DePaul in late-September, filling a wing/frontcourt need for the Blue Demons. After starting his career with two seasons at Troy, Johnson had somewhat of a breakout for the Cyclones last year, posting 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists across 21 games (18 starts). His eligibility was always going to be in question as a two-time transfer, but the timing also seems to hurt his case here. Still, it sounds like he'll get to see the court potentially before the start of Big East play, which would boost a DePaul team with a bit of uncertainty regarding who will be starting at the three.
