Joseph Tugler - Fully cleared to return Tugler (foot) has been fully cleared to resume all basketball activities, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Tugler, who underwent a season-ending foot surgery in March, is ready to roll for the Cougars ahead of the 2024-25 season. The 6-foot-7 sophomore appeared in 28 games prior to his injury (one start), averaging 3.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.1 blocks on 16.1 minutes per game. The defensive-minded forward will look to build upon what was a productive freshman season despite his injury.

L.J. Cryer - Fully cleared Cryer (foot) has been fully cleared for basketball-related activities, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Impact Upon it becoming clear that Cryer would re-enroll at Houston, he underwent surgery on his left foot. Fast forward less than five months later, and the redshirt senior is healthy again before what is expected to be his last preseason. Cryer's 2023-24 season was a resounding success, as the dynamic scorer averaged 15.5 points and 3.0 three-pointers made, both career bests.

Terrance Arceneaux - Granted NCAA hardship waiver Arceneaux has been granted an NCAA hardship waiver for the 2023-24 season, giving him an extra year of eligibility, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Impact Arceneaux missed most of last season after he tore his Achilles in December, but the NCAA has granted him an extra year of eligibility following that season-ending injury. Now that he is fully healthy, he will compete in the 2024-25 season as a sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining.
