Impact Nunge was away from the team early in the season following the death of his father. The sophomore has now rejoined his Hawkeye teammates and figures to see plenty of playing time again this season. However, Nunge will likely slot into a bench role in the frontcourt behind Joe Wieskamp and Luka Garza.

Impact Wieskamp wasn't particularly efficient from the floor Friday, but he was one of two Hawkeyes to have a double-digit scoring total against Southern. The junior didn't have a very high shot volume in Wednesday's season opener, but he was much more involved in the offense Friday.

Impact McCaffery came off the bench in Wednesday's season opener, but he saw significant playing time since the Hawkeyes maintained a comfortable lead throughout the contest. McCaffery missed most of his freshman season due to complications from his bout with thyroid cancer, but he was fully cleared heading into the 2020-21 campaign and should continue to define a role with the Hawkeyes.
