Unanimous All-American Garza was a unanimous selection to the 2020-21 Associated Press All-American team that was announced Wednesday. Impact The preseason accolades continue to roll in for Garza, who was already a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-Big Ten team, as well as being named the preseason conference player of the year. The AP predicts plenty of team success for the Hawkeyes as well, rating Iowa as the top projected Big Ten team in the first preseason poll, with the Hawkeyes checking in at No. 5 overall. The offense will run through Garza in the post as he looks to improve upon incredible 2019-20 numbers of 23.9 ppg and 9.8 rpg. Iowa is projected to open up its season Nov. 25 against North Carolina Central.
