Impact Brooks has just been doing individual drills, but takes a step back when the team starts doing 5-on-5 work. Brooks is getting close to being 100 percent and should be treated as questionable for the season opener in a week's time.

Shooting display at pro day Allen (knee) participated in shooting drills during Kentucky's Pro Day on Thursday, Kyle Tucker of The Athletic reports.

Impact Allen missed his entire freshman season with Kentucky due to a torn ACL, but there haven't been any signs of limitations so far this offseason from the limited glimpses allowed to the media. Tucker even went as far as to call Allen "the purest shooter on the roster," which is a good sign for the former four-star recruit's chances of seeing minutes early on. Kentucky has yet again re-tooled this offseason with a batch of four and five-star talent, in addition to experienced seniors Davion Mintz and Olivier Sarr from the transfer market. It will be tough to crack the rotation in any capacity, but given the team shot just 34.3 percent from beyond the arc last season, anyone who can boost the perimeter play would seemingly be a candidate.

Impact While it's not clear if Brooks is fully healthy, his participation in Thursday's workout indicates he is well on track to take the court in the Wildcats' season opener Nov. 25 against Morehead State. Brooks averaged 4.5 points and 3.2 rebounds across 31 games as a freshman last season.
