Buddy Boeheim - Well-rounded game in winBoeheim mustered 18 points (6-14 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 97-63 victory over Lafayette.

ImpactBoeheim has averaged at least 15.0 points per game in each of his last two seasons, but he displayed elite scoring ability during the NCAA Tournament last season and might have kept the momentum going for this curtain-raiser as well. While Boeheim wasn't exactly accurate with his shot in this one, there's no question he is talented enough to post scoring figures close to the 20-point mark on a regular basis if healthy.

ImpactAside from leading Syracuse in scoring with an impressive 20-point effort and going perfect from three-point range, Girard also led the team in assists. He averaged just 9.8 points per game last season, but if we take the season opener as a benchmark, then he might be in line to have a career-best season.

ImpactBoeheim was one of three Syracuse players that scored at least 18 points in this one-sided win and while he didn't contribute too much in other categories, he was nearly perfect from the field while missing just one shot. His scoring exploits have been well documented in the past, though, as he averaged 16.7 points per game last season.
