Impact After the win, Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson explained that Sasser tried to give it another go but just "felt funny." Sampson spoke with Sasser at halftime and told him to just rest for the remainder of the game. The Cougars were able to pull out the win, but it wasn't pretty. Starting guard Jamal Shead is also dealing with a hyperextended knee that he is expected to play through, but the Cougars' backcourt depth took a significant hit Thursday.
