Impact Timberlake hasn't appeared in a game this year after suffering an ankle injury during preseason practice, but he could be on track to make his season debut Saturday. He isn't in the starting lineup, but he could make an appearance off the bench against Jacksonville.

As one of the best freshman recruits in the country, Timberlake should figure to make an immediate impact as soon as he's cleared. Impact Miller left last Saturday's game against Florida Gulf Coast and missed Wednesday's tilt against Pittsburgh, but there's a chance he will be able to return to action Saturday against Jacksonville. Nysier Brooks should remain in the starting five for this game even if Miller returns for this game, however, as he has played off the bench in every one of his appearances this season, averaging just 5.5 minutes per game.

Impact McGusty has been out for just one game, but the signs are not encouraging if he has to miss more time. It remains to be seen when he'll be able to return and should be treated as day-to-day moving forward. He is averaging 10.5 points per game this season.

The fact that he logged heavy minutes should be encouraging and this might lead to Olaniyi having a big role straight away for the Hurricanes. His next chance to play will come Dec. 19 against Jacksonville.
