Jaden Akins - Plays 16 minutes Akins amassed six points (3-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt), one rebound and one block across 16 minutes during Monday's 73-55 win over Northern Arizona.

Impact Akins was reported to be "on a pitch count" of sorts for the opener after battling a foot injury. He played about what was expected, although was not very efficient. Akins will have a much tougher matchup on Friday against Gonzaga.

Jaden Akins - Will play but could be limited Coach Tom Izzo said that Akins (foot) will play in Monday's game against Northern Arizona but will be on a "pitch count", Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Impact Akins is expected to play in the 10-15 minute range according to coach Izzo. Akins is coming off foot surgery in September and has ramped up his activity in practice in recent weeks. There's a chance Akins sees more action on Friday' against Gonzaga or next Tuesday against Kentucky.

Jaden Akins - Warming up Monday Akins (foot) is warming up ahead of Monday's regular-season opener against Northern Arizona, Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Impact Akins underwent foot surgery in September but returned to practice last week and hoped to play Monday. While the Spartans haven't officially announced Akins' status for the season opener, his participation in warmups is certainly encouraging.
