ImpactWong has scored in double digits in every game but the season opener for Miami -- a streak that has extended to 12 games. The sophomore guard is one of the team's most consistent performers on a regular basis and is averaging 15.8 points per game this season, though his numbers are a bit down compared to what he accomplished in the 2020-21 campaign.

Anthony Walker - Nearly perfect from fieldWalker accumulated 11 points (4-4 FG, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 91-83 victory over North Carolina State.

ImpactWalker was perfect with his two-point attempts and only missed one shot from the line in what was a solid game for him. The sophomore has yet to start a game for Miami, but he has been productive when given the chance. When he plays 20 minutes or more, he has scored in double digits in three of those four contests.

ImpactSeabron was quite efficient despite the loss, and the big man has been one of NC State's top players across the board since he's been a double-double machine. The sophomore already has eight double-doubles on the season and is tied for the ACC lead in that category with North Carolina's Armando Bacot.

ImpactMiller has started 10 of a possible 13 games for Miami this season, but the George Mason transfer has never been considered the primary scoring threat with Kameron McGusty, Charlie Moore and Isaiah Wong currently occupying that mantle. This was only Miller's third double-digit scoring effort of the year, but all three of those performances have came in Miami's last five contests, suggesting he may be turning a corner. At the very least, Miller showed he's plenty capable of getting hot from distance. Less volume has also resulted in more efficiency, as the junior forward is currently on pace to shoot a career-best 35.7 percent from outside.

ImpactThis was the sixth game of 20 or more points this season for the fifth-year senior, who is now fifth in the ACC with an 18.5 ppg scoring average. Wednesday also represented his fourth double-double and second consecutive game with a pair of steals. McGusty is currently on pace for career highs in both scoring and rebounding as the Canes look forward to conference play.

ImpactThis was well ahead of the original three-to-four week timeline that was given to Miller to return from this groin issue. In saying that, he still only played three minutes so Miami could have just wanted to get him a little taste of game action before bumping up his playing time.
