ImpactBeverly logged 21 minutes off the bench but made the most of them, posting a double-double with 11 boards -- that's excellent rebounding production for a guard. He only averaged 7.2 points per game as a freshman and, while he's not going to grab double-digit boards on a regular basis, he seems set to have a big year off the bench if the season debut was of any indication.

He averaged 7.7 points per game as a freshman, but he scored 14.2 points per contest while starting each of the team's final 13 games last season, and that kind of production will be expected in his second year within the program.

ImpactCross made a big impact on both ends of the court for the Hurricanes in the season opener, finishing as one of five players that scored at least 10 points and grabbing the second-most rebounds. It was a strong showing for the freshman in his college debut, and he will try to build off this performance in Miami's next game against Stetson on Friday.
