Jamarius Burton - Strong effort in tight lossBurton contributed 15 points (7-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 68-67 loss to Notre Dame.
ImpactBurton had a decent shooting performance and reached double-digit scoring numbers for the sixth game in a row, but this time he also managed to leave decent figures in other categories as well. The senior is averaging 14.3 points per game across six appearances this month.

John Hugley - Well-rounded effort in lossHugley totaled 18 points (5-10 FG, 8-9 FT), six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 68-67 loss to Notre Dame.
ImpactHugley did a good job of making his presence felt on both ends of the court, and he also managed to bounce back after two straight games with eight or fewer points. The big man has been one of the Pirates' best players in the opening weeks of the campaign, averaging 14.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest in what has been his first year as a starter with the program.

Paul Atkinson - Comes close to double-doubleAtkinson supplied 16 points (4-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds and one assist over 26 minutes before fouling out of Tuesday's 68-67 win over Pittsburgh.
ImpactAtkinson couldn't register another double-double, but at least he managed to keep his streak of games with 10 or more points to five in a row. He's averaging 12.0 points per game while shooting 53.2 percent from the field in six December appearances.

Prentiss Hubb - Drains three threes in winHubb provided 15 points (4-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 68-67 victory over Pittsburgh.
ImpactHubb has moved in and out of the starting lineup this season, but he has started in Notre Dame's last three contests and has scored in double digits in the last two. The junior has scored 10 or more points just five times this season, but the fact that three of those have come in the team's last six outings should be slightly encouraging.
DECEMBER 29, 2021ROTOWIRE
Trey Wertz - Back from ankle injuryWertz racked up four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists over 21 minutes during Tuesday's 68-67 victory over Pittsburgh.
ImpactWertz missed a Dec. 22 contest with an ankle injury, but it was reported that he would be available Tuesday and he ended up as part of the seven-man rotation. It appears he'll still be in line for a good chunk of minutes, but considering he's only reached double figures once in 11 games this season, it seems unlikely he'll be much of a fantasy factor in the immediate future.
