Hits transfer portal Toney (concussion) has elected to enter the transfer portal, Craig Meyer of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Impact Toney is the second major contributor to enter the transfer portal for Pitt within the last couple of days. The reason behind the exits is a bit unclear, but the school is phrasing it as a mutual agreement to split paths. Toney should have two seasons of eligibility remaining at his next destination and, assuming there is nothing more behind his departure, find numerous schools interested in his services as a transfer.

Impact Johnson has scored in double digits in five straight games -- a season-best mark for him -- and he reported a season-high 32 points in that stretch as well. He is averaging 16.8 points with 4.8 assists per game during that five-game span and has been a good second offensive option for the Panthers behind star forward Justin Champagnie.

Impact Champagnie was the only player that surpassed the 20-point mark for the Panthers, and as it has been the trend all season long, he was Pittsburgh's best player by a wide margin. Champagnie has recorded double-doubles in six of his last seven contests.

Impact Odukale came off the bench despite starting in Wednesday's game against NC State and had one of his better games as of late. He scored his most points since Jan. 23 and his 23 minutes on the floor were the most he's seen since Jan. 6. It seems he's found himself in a pretty consistent role and will need to continue to pick up some of the slack in the scoring department with Au'Diese Toney currently sidelined with a concussion.

The 6-6 junior is second on the team with 14.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game and he's also widely viewed as the team's most versatile defender. While he's out, Nike Sibande should continue to fill in at small forward.

Impact Toney recorded 15 or more points for the second straight game, and he has scored in double digits in three of his last four contests. He reached that feat in nine of his first 10 games of the season, though, so these scoring exploits are nothing new for him. He's leaving a rough stretch behind and seems to be showing glimpses of his early-season form of late.
