Leading the way for Eagles Groves had 26 points (9-13 FG, 8-9 FT), 13 rebounds and three assists across 29 minutes in Saturday's victory over Northern Arizona. Impact Groves looks the part of one of the most improved players in the Big Sky conference, as he went from averaging 3.0 points in 10.1 mpg his sophomore year to being an everyday starter. With the expanded role, his playing time is now up to 27.5 mpg, resulting in averages of 14.5 points and 9.8 rebounds. Groves and the Eagles went 0-3 against Pac-12 opponents to begin the year, but they remain favorites in Big Sky conference play, which begins Dec. 31 barring the addition of another non-conference matchup.
