Impact Shedrick has done a great job as the team's starting center for most of this season while Dylan Disu worked his way back from a foot injury. After Disu got some games under his belt, however, he is ready to take that role back from Shedrick. Expect the Virginia transfer to still play his fair share of minutes as the team hopes to keep Disu fresh for the long haul.

Impact It's been a long road back for Disu after missing the first nine games of the season with a foot injury. He has come off the bench in his first five games back and played pretty well in limited minutes. Kadin Shedrick has done a great job early in the season as the team's starting center, but it is time for Disu to take that role going into Big 12 play. Disu had a very strong close to the 2022-23 campaign.

Dillon Mitchell - Doubles up again Mitchell posted 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-5 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes during Friday's 71-55 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
Impact Mitchell has now posted five consecutive games with double-digit rebounds. The return of fellow big man Dylan Disu has not hampered Mitchell who continues his strong play underneath. The sophomore forward has become a double-double machine this season posting five on the season including four of his last five as he's nearly averaging the impressive double for the season. In 30.6 minutes over 11 games, Mitchell is averaging 11.6 points and 9.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.4 blocks.

Impact It had been a while since any updates regarding Disu's injury status were released, but news surfaced early Saturday morning that he would be active for the Longhorns after missing the first nine games of the season. He came off the bench, but still logged more minutes and was far more productive than starting center Kadin Shedrick, so it wouldn't be surprising to see a change take place in the near future. If Disu isn't rostered in a fantasy league, look to rectify that immediately regardless of format. He's a player that really came on down the stretch last season, putting up 17.8 points and 9.0 rebounds over the five games leading up to his season-ending injury.

Impact Abmas and back-court companion Tyrese Hunter combined for 39 points and 11 assists while playing 73 out of a possible 80 minutes Saturday. After a bit of a slow start to the season, Abmas has turned it up over his last five games, averaging 22 points with four games of 20 or more points and posting six or more assists three times over that stretch.

Impact Disu hasn't taken the floor for the Longhorns yet in 2023-24 due to a foot issue, but he'll see his first action of the campaign in this one. The senior averaged 8.8 points and 4.4 boards per game last year, starting all 36 of his appearances, and he figures to be a regular contributor this year as well. It wouldn't be shocking if he logs limited minutes in his first action of the season and gradually ramps it up moving forward.
