Fardaws Aimaq - Nears double-double in first start Aimaq finished with 12 points (5-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds and one assist across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 81-74 loss to Baylor. Impact Aimaq logged his first start with the Red Raiders after coming off the bench during his season debut Saturday versus Texas. The 6-foot-11 senior still finished last among Texas Tech's starting rotation in minutes, as he appeared to split playing time with previous starting center Daniel Batcho (22). However, Aimaq pulled down the team's second-most rebounds behind starting 6-foot-7 wing Jaylon Tyson (12). Aimaq averaged 15.0 and 13.6 rebounds per game over his last two seasons during his previous two seasons with Utah Valley State, and he has now put up a combined 20 field-goal attempts across two contests with Texas Tech. So long as Aimaq continues to play over 20 minutes per game, he could emerge as one of the team's most productive all-around players.
