Playing through ankle injury Mitchell racked up six points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 13 minutes during Saturday's 63-41 victory over Iowa State. Impact According to Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman, Mitchell rolled an ankle in practice, which is presumably what led to the lower minutes total. Mitchell's temporary role reduction allowed one of the better performances of the year for Christian Bishop, while Brock Cunningham entered the starting five and played 14 minutes. Mitchell and the Longhorns have a big Monday matchup against Kansas on tap, but it's unclear if a return to the starting five is in the cards for Mitchell, who is admittedly at less than 100 percent.
