Impact DeVries contributed a solid effort on both ends of the floor, rebounding from a season-worst six-point performance in his last start. The three blocks were a season high for the senior forward while the three steals matched a season-best mark. DeVries has scored in double figures in three of four contests while topping 30 minutes in each game, averaging 13.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game.

Impact DeVries had an effective opening game with his new club, draining four of nine from behind the arc on his way to a team-leading 18 points. The senior transfer, who made the trek from Drake to Morgantown for his final collegiate season, had shoulder surgery in the offseason but if Monday's performance is any indication, it appears he's back close to full health.

Close to full health DeVries (shoulder) indicated in a press conference Thursday that his surgically repaired shoulder feels close to 100 percent, per Ryan Decker of Gold and Blue Nation.

Impact DeVries underwent surgery on his shoulder in the offseason, but the Drake transfer indicated that he feels like he is near full health. The senior forward averaged 21.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs in 2023 before heading to Morgantown in the offseason and will be hoping to make an impact for the Mountaineers in 2024.
