Up and down in team exhibition Hunter (hamstring) participated in Memphis' exhibition game Tuesday against North Carolina, according to Jason Munz of The Commercial Appeal.

Impact According to Munz, there was a brief run when Hunter scored five straight baskets for Memphis. But afterward, he had been out for the last stretch of the game, as confirmed by Jonah Dylan of The Commercial Appeal and with no further reports of an injury. Hunter will look to establish at least some better consistency as Memphis' regular-season schedule looms forward.

The senior guard transferred in from Texas back in April and is primed for the starting point guard spot this season for the Tigers. He averaged 11.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.3 steals on 32 minutes per game in the 2023-24 campaign.
