Robbie Armbrester - Gets injection in kneeArmbrester was unable to play in Tuesday's game against Rice due to a knee injection, Andy Yanez of the Community Impact News reports.
ImpactArmbrester was forced to keep his leg elevated and did not attend the game. It's unclear how long term of an issue this is. Houston will play next on Monday against Butler.

Josh Carlton - Banged up, but returnsCarlton produced seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 21 minutes during Tuesday's 67-47 win over Virginia.
ImpactCarlton saw some extra run early in this contest with starting center Reggie Chaney temporarily exiting with a hand injury, according to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle. Chaney was able to return, and later in the contest Carlton even limped off with an injury of his own. He did check back into the game later on with several Cougars players in foul trouble, suggesting this shouldn't be a major concern moving forward. Carlton and the Cougars next draw a matchup with Butler on Monday.

Kody Stattmann - Scores eight off benchStattmann registered eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes during Tuesday's 67-47 loss to Houston.
ImpactStattmann didn't impress anyone with his final stat line, but he looked extremely sharp with his shooting and finished as Virginia's second-best scorer in a game where the team only mustered 47 total points. This was his best game of the season from a scoring perspective, however, so he's not likely to be a huge fantasy asset going forward -- especially if he keeps coming off the bench.

Reggie Chaney - Returns despite hand injuryChaney logged five points (2-2 FG, 1-4 FT), two rebounds and two steals in 11 minutes during Tuesday's 67-47 win over Virginia.
ImpactWhile Chaney started the game, he did come off the court early with a left hand injury, according to Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle. Fortunately he was able to return to the game, though his absence did result in minutes increases for Josh Carlton and J'Wan Roberts at the five. Per Duarte, Carlton limped off and missed time as well, but he too was able to return. This all makes for an interesting frontcourt rotation during non-conference play, which continues with a matchup Monday against Butler.

Armaan Franklin - Leads Cavaliers in lossFranklin supplied 11 points (3-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and one steal across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 67-47 loss to Houston.
ImpactThis was an awful performance from Virginia, exemplified by the fact they only mustered 47 total points, and Franklin was the only player who managed to score in double digits. It's only been three games but Franklin is already averaging a career-high 13.0 points per game, so his role as the team's go-to player on offense seems to be quite secure.
