LJ Cryer - Again leads team in scoringCryer contributed 20 points (7-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 31 minutes during Saturday's 89-55 win over West Virginia.
ImpactCryer once again filled his role as the primary scoring option for Houston, shooting over 50% from the field and from behind the arc for the second consecutive game. Saturday marked the fifth time this season Cryer has scored 20 or more and the 11th time in 14 games he's scored at least 15. For the year, Cryer is averaging 17.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.9 steals in 31.1 minutes.

Jamal Shead - Season high 11 dimesShead produced eight points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five rebounds, 11 assists, four blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Saturday's 89-55 victory over West Virginia.
ImpactIt was the first time in four games that Shead failed to score in double-figures, but that is far from a concern as the 6'1" point guard made his usual all-around contributions, including a season-high in assists and matching a career high with four blocks. Shead will never be a prolific scorer, but remains one of the best all-around performers in the country. Over his last 10 games, Shead is averaging 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.0 blocks over 28.6 minutes per contest.

RaeQuan Battle - Rough day offensivelyBattle finished Saturday's 89-55 loss to Houston with four points (1-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes.
ImpactBattle's struggles embodied the overall performance of West Virginia, who had no shot from the jump against Houston. Battle had averaged 27.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.7 steals in his first four games, but managed just one field-goal Saturday as he was stifled along with the rest of his teammates. West Virginia looks to be a bottom-tier Big 12 team this year, but expect Battle to rebound with much better performances moving forward.

Joseph Tugler - Moves back to benchTugler isn't in the starting five for Saturday's game versus West Virginia.
ImpactJ'Wan Roberts will reclaim his starting role from Tugler after missing the previous game with a quadriceps injury. Tugler is averaging 4.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.8 blocks in 18.0 minutes across his last five appearances coming off the bench.
