Impact Finley and the Zips were outmatched in every facet of the game, and his stat-line reflected that. The senior quarterback is coming off a big four-touchdown performance in Akron's win against Colgate last week, but he's thrown an interception in each game this season and has eclipsed one passing touchdown only once this year.

Alex Adams - Dealing with lower-body injury Adams missed the Colgate game due to a lower-body injury and should be questionable to play at South Carolina on Saturday, WZIP Sports reports.

Impact Adams has yet to play for Akron this season, and it's unclear where he'll be able to step on the gridiron. He should give a huge boost to the passing attack once he's ready to play, though, as he had 22 catches for 188 yards and two scores across seven appearances in 2023 and a 63-855-9 receiving line in 2022, the last season in which he was completely healthy.

If Akron continues to rely on the passing game especially in the coming conference games, Norton should benefit even if he doesn't find the end zone.

Impact Akron's passing game was in full swing against Colgate and Golden benefitted greatly. He's not the highest receiver on the team's depth chart currently, but he likely will see more big games like this one in conference play when the team needs to rely on the pass.
