Out for remainder of season Kuithe (undisclosed) is out for the remainder of Utah's 2024 season, Steve Bartle of KSL News reports.

Impact The 2024 BYU-Utah Holy War took out a big-time player, as the Utes will be without one of college football's best tight ends for their remaining season. Kuithe's excellent 2024 included 35 receptions for 505 yards and six touchdowns. The tight end logged a career high in TDs thanks to being more active in Utah's run game. On top of his six receiving touchdowns, Kuithe also recorded two rushing TDs on eight carries for 26 yards.

Impact Kuithe's night couldn't have started out better with a 71-yard touchdown grab on the second play from scrimmage. Unfortunately, Utah continues to struggle at the QB position as Isaac Wilson was benched in the second half. It was Kuithe's first 100-yard receiving performance since Week 1 of the 2022 season. Utah will be on a bye next week before playing nationally ranked BYU.

Season-high 11 targets in loss Kuithe tallied six catches (on 11 targets) for 56 yards during Saturday's 13-7 loss against TCU.

Impact Kuithe also had a rushing attempt for negative yards as the Utes tried to get one of their best players more involved. The 11 targets were a season-high, but young QB Isaac Wilson is struggling with accuracy. Utah should have a better game offensively at Houston which could result in Kuithe having a bigger impact for fantasy rosters.

Impact Kuithe totaled 63 yards as the Utes struggled to move the ball on the opposing field. QB Cameron Rising had three interceptions, and the team was forced to settle for four field goal attempts. Kuithe has had plenty of opportunities in his last three games at 8.0 targets per game. He should continue to receive looks when the team plays TCU next week.

The senior tight end is back to full health and is going to have a huge season for the Utes. It's worth noting that freshman QB Isaac Wilson received his second consecutive start, but Cam Rising (hand) is close to returning from the injury. Kuithe and the Utes have a favorable matchup with Arizona next week.

Impact Kuithe was one of nine receivers to grab a catch from true freshman QB Isaac Wilson. Wilson received the start with Cameron Rising recovering from a hand injury sustained against Baylor. Kuithe is Rising's favorite target, so it will be interesting to see if the star QB is back for a pivotal matchup at Oklahoma State this next week.

Returns from injury Kuithe is returning from a knee injury that kept him out of action during 2023, John Coon of AP News reports.

Impact Back in September 2022, Kuithe suffered a leg injury, further revealed to be a torn ACL that required surgery. He suffered multiple setbacks, resulting in him sitting out the Utes' 2023 season. Their 2024 campaign marks the first time in nearly two years that Kuithe is healthy. Before the knee injury, he was easily one of college football's best tight ends, logging 94 receptions for 1,043 yards (11.1 averaged per reception) and nine touchdowns. Ideally for him and the Utes, he remains one of college football's best tight ends, just one who had patiently waited for another shot at FBS action.
