Returns from injury Kuithe is returning from a knee injury that kept him out of action during 2023, John Coon of AP News reports. Impact Back in September 2022, Kuithe suffered a leg injury, further revealed to be a torn ACL that required surgery. He suffered multiple setbacks, resulting in him sitting out the Utes' 2023 season. Their 2024 campaign marks the first time in nearly two years that Kuithe is healthy. Before the knee injury, he was easily one of college football's best tight ends, logging 94 receptions for 1,043 yards (11.1 averaged per reception) and nine touchdowns. Ideally for him and the Utes, he remains one of college football's best tight ends, just one who had patiently waited for another shot at FBS action.
