LJ Martin - Described as doubtful Martin was described as doubtful by head coach Kalani Sitake for BYU's matchup with Wyoming on Saturday, Mitch Harper of KSL News Salt Lake City reports.

Impact Martin ran the ball 13 times in the opener, but his involvement was limited against SMU with just five carries as he left the game with an ankle injury. It appears that ailment will carry over into Week 3, as the tailback looks unlikely to suit up against Wyoming. In his stead, Hinckley Ropati and Miles Davis should spearhead the Cougars backfield.

Darius Lassiter - Records 62 recceiving yards Lassiter gathered in 2 of 5 targets for 62 yards during Friday's 18-15 win against Southern Methodist.

Impact Jake Retzlaff had a difficult time finding his favorite targets in Friday's win, but Lassiter managed to grab two receptions with one going for 57 yards in the third quarter. Lassiter and the rest of the receiving corps was mostly quiet otherwise.

Chase Roberts - Quiet in narrow win Roberts recorded two receptions (on five targets) for 26 yards during Friday's 18-15 victory over Southern Methodist.

Impact Roberts took a back seat to tight end Mata'ava Ta'ase, who led all receivers and scored the Cougars' only receiving touchdown. The Mustangs were able to keep Jake Retzlaff from making any big plays downfield, and Roberts' numbers suffered as a result.

Jake Retzlaff - Regresses against tougher opponent Retzlaff was 15-for-28 passing for 202 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Friday's 18-15 win against Southern Methodist. He also had 10 rushes for 35 yards.

Impact Retzlaff was far from mistake-free in the narrow win, as two costly picks kept the Mustangs in the game. Friday's effort was a massive regression from his stellar outing against Southern Illinois last week. He'll try to bounce back next Saturday against Wyoming, who were handily beaten by Arizona State last week, 48-7.
