Exits with injury versus Penn State Rising was forced out with an apparent lower-body injury during Monday's Rose Bowl against Penn State, Josh Newman of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Impact Rising had to be assisted off the field after he was hit hard by multiple Nittany Lions on a scramble in the third quarter, per Newman. He was then taken to the medical tent on Utah's sideline before walking under his own power to the locker room, according to Ashley Adamson of the Pac-12 Network. While the specifics of his issue are still unclear, the second-year starter previously dealt with a left knee injury that kept him sidelined for one game versus Washington State in late October. With Rising's return up in the air, sophomore Bryson Barnes, who went 17-for-27 passing for 175 yards and a touchdown to go along with eight rushes for 51 yards while filling in against the Cougars, has stepped back in under center for the Utes, according to Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star.
