Out Tuesday Brewer (undisclosed) has been ruled out for the Boca Raton Bowl against Toledo on Tuesday, Damien Sordelett of The Lynchburg News & Advance reports.

Impact Brewer completed five of nine passes for 34 yards and an interception during the final game of the regular season against New Mexico State, and he won't be suiting up for the bowl game. He appeared in only three contests this season. Johnathan Bennett and Kaidon Salter could split quarterback reps Tuesday, as Liberty utilized a three-man rotation versus New Mexico State.

The senior quarterback threw for 8,138 yards, 54 touchdowns and 24 interceptions across 36 games with Baylor. Impact BYU was known for its prolific offense last season, but they also have a stalwart defense that isn't often mentioned. Brewer and the Utes felt the full brunt of it Saturday and could only muster two touchdowns. Brewer was able to string together a couple of drives and make a game of it in the fourth quarter, but it ultimately wasn't enough. The team has a lot of talent, and Brewer will improve as he adjusts to the starting role after transferring from Baylor.

The senior has a solid career under center from his time with the Bears, finishing with a completion percentage of 61.5 percent or greater in all four of his seasons while owning a career 65:28 TD:INT ratio.
