Impact Washington found paydirt twice in back-to-back games, operating as the Chanticleers' lead back with Braydon Bennett (undisclosed) and Ja'Vin Simpkins (undisclosed) inactive Saturday. Once Coastal Carolina's backfield is healthy, they'll likely revert to a two or three-man committee.

Impact Although the severity of the injury is not yet confirmed, Beck stated Simpkins and fellow running back Braydon Bennett will be evaluated. Beck went on to confirm Bennett could have returned to the game but was held out of precaution. More news should surface regarding their status in the upcoming days.

Impact Vasko beat out Michigan State transfer Noah Kim to be the Chanticleers' Week 1 starter and showed Thursday why he's worthy of the role. Vasko dropped back to throw just 19 times but averaged 20.8 yards per completion. In addition to his pair of 30-yard touchdown passes, the redshirt sophomore flashed his rushing upside, tallying 39 yards and a score. Vasko averaged 71.5 rushing yards per game across his five starts in 2023. It's also worth noting that Vasko didn't split work with Kim, but Kim entered the game for a pair of garbage-time drives.
