Braydon Bennett - Splits carries, finds paydirt twice Bennett posted 11 rushes for 60 yards and two touchdowns and gathered in their only target for five yards during Thursday's 55-27 victory over Jacksonville State.

Impact The Chanticleers distributed rushing work evenly between Bennett, Ja'Vin Simpkins (12 rushes, 80 yards) and Christian Washington (13 carries, 47 yards). However, Bennett was the only CCU tailback to score, punching in a pair of two-yard runs. Considering he appears to be the team's preferred goal line back, Bennett should be the most appealing Chanticleer running back, but his upside is capped by the team's committee approach.

Impact Kim lost out to Ethan Vasko to start the season as the starting quarterback. Kim opened up last season as Michigan State's starting quarterback and it did not go particularly well as he completed 57 percent of his passes and threw as many touchdowns as interceptions. It's unclear if he will see any action in Thursday's opener or if Vasko won the job outright.

Impact Vasko has been named the starting quarterback to open up the Chanticleers season, beating out Noah Kim for the job. It's unclear if Kim will see any snaps or if the decision is final. Still, the quarterback battle with Noah Kim appears to have carried over into the regular season. It's unclear which signal-caller will lead the way this fall quite yet.
