Impact Stoops also mentioned Leary can now see the plays in his wristband, as he had been dealing with blurry vision during the final quarter of the game against Mississippi State. Kentucky will be hopeful to have their starting quarterback available in a tough matchup against the Crimson Tide. The 6-foot-1 signal caller has completed 57 percent of his passes for 1,908 yard to go along with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.

Dealing with eye issue Leary apparently got something in his eye in the fourth quarter that blurred up his vision and did not return to the game, Ryan Black of The Manhattan Mercury reports.
Impact Leary reportedly was having trouble reading the play sheet late in the game and was held out for the remainder of the game with the Wildcats comfortably leading over Mississippi State. Head coach Mark Stoops noted that he was hopeful Leary would be fine next week against Alabama but his status will certainly be worth monitoring next week leading up to the game. Leary finished completing 13-of-22 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns, which was his fourth straight game throwing for multiple scores.

Huge outing in loss Leary was 28-for-39 passing for 372 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 33-27 defeat against Tennessee. He also had five rushes for 21 yards.
Impact After putrid yardage totals in each of the previous three games, Leary broke out with a season-best 372 yards passing. However, he has still tossed multiple touchdowns in three-straight contests, and five times overall in 2023. A favorable matchup at Mississippi State next weekend should yield another stellar outing from Leary.
