Move to Kentucky official Leary (pectoral) announced Dec. 20 via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Kentucky, joining the program as a transfer from NC State. Impact One of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal for the 2022-23 cycle, Leary quickly found a new destination within the Power Five ranks after announcing his intention to leave NC State two weeks prior. Leary was a four-year starter for the Wolfpack and completed 60.2 percent of his throws for 7.2 yards per attempt, 62 touchdowns and 16 interceptions while adding five scores on the ground across 30 career games. Leary was sidelined for NC State's final six games of the regular season after requiring surgery to address a torn right pectoral muscle, but he'll likely be back to full strength for Kentucky's spring practices. He'll be the presumptive favorite to take over as the Wildcats' starting quarterback in 2023, his sixth and final year of eligibility.
