Scores three times again Saturday Allar completed 13 of 20 passes for 204 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 34-27 victory over Bowling Green. He also had seven rushes for seven yards with... Impact Allar had his up-and-down moments in this shaky performance for a Penn State team that looked dominant Week 1. The junior signal-caller started strong with a five-yard rushing score and a 29-yard touchdown pass in the first half. After locking in on wideout Harrison Wallace last week, Allar also shifted his focus to tight end Tyler Warren with eight completions (eight targets) for 146 yards. Allar's most impressive moment came when he found running back Nicholas Singleton for a 14-yard touchdown to take back the lead in the third quarter. But, he followed that up with a lowlight on an interception to end the third quarter. As the Nittany Lions continue to break in a new offense with coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, it's likely that Allar and the team will hit some more growing pains moving forward. They'll have a week off to regroup before welcoming what should be an outmatched Kent State program to Happy Valley on Saturday, Sept. 21.
