Corey Dyches - Grabs four passes versus WolfpackDyches caught all four of his targets targets for 45 yards during Friday's 16-12 victory against North Carolina State.
ImpactDyches tied with wideouts Jeshaun Jones and Tai Felton for a team-high in receptions in this choppy bowl win over North Carolina State. The redshirt sophomore was the only Terps' tight end to log a reception in the game after CJ Dippre entered the transfer portal in late November. Over 13 games, Dyches finished second on the team in receptions (39) and receiving yards (494), so with top wideouts Rakim Jarrett, Dontay Demus and Jacob Copeland all heading to the NFL, the 6-foot-2, 220-pound tight end should once again serve as one of the top receiving options for quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa in 2023.

Tai Felton - Eight targets in win over NC StateFelton reeled in four of eight targets for 69 yards during Friday's 16-12 victory over North Carolina State.
ImpactFelton paced the Terrapins' receiving corps in targets during the Duke's Mayo Bowl, finishing ahead of wide receivers Jeshaun Jones (six) and Octavian Smith Jr. (four) and tight end Corey Dyches (four). The sophomore Felton also notched a career-best stat line with uppermen wideouts Rakim Jarrett, Jacob Copeland and Dontay Demus all opting out of the game in preparation for the 2023 NFL Draft. Felton logged 23 catches on 36 targets for 309 yards and two touchdowns over 13 games this season, and he would be the Terps' top returning wideout if Jones elects not to come back for his final year of collegiate eligibility in 2023.

Jeshaun Jones - Paces receiver effort againJones hauled in four of six targets for 79 yards during Friday's 16-12 victory against North Carolina State.
ImpactJones finished as the Terrapins' leading receiver for the second game in a row with wideouts Rakim Jarrett, Jacob Copeland and Dontay Demus all opting out of the bowl game in preparation for the 2023 NFL Draft. The graduate senior ultimately finished second in targets behind sophomore wideout Tai Felton (eight) and ahead of tight end Corey Dyches (four) during this ugly bowl win. While Jones largely served as the second or third receiving option when the Terps' receiving corps was fully healthy, he still led the team in receptions (44), receiving yards (557), targets (65) and receiving touchdowns (four). With starting quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa returning to Maryland next season, Jones could be in line for an even bigger workload should he return for his final season of collegiate eligibility in 2023.

Roman Hemby - Heavy workload in tough bowl winHemby compiled 24 carries for 65 yards and hauled in two of four targets for 22 yards during Friday's 16-12 win over North Carolina State.
ImpactHemby matched his season high in both carries and touches previously set in the 31-24 win over Northwestern in Week 8. The redshirt freshman running back logged just one rush of more than 10 yards with an 11-yard carry in the second quarter, as he was almost entirely bottled up by a Wolfpack front seven that ranked 16th in yards per carry allowed (3.36) coming into this game. Hemby still finished the 2022 season with 118 more carries than the next closest Terrapins running back Antwain Littleton, and he was just 11 yards shy of his first 1,000-yard rushing season. Hemby also accumulated 1,287 total yards and 11 total touchdowns on 221 touches this season. He should continue to serve a primary role in the backfield alongside quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa, who is expected to return to Maryland for the 2023 season.
