Tyriq Starks - Struggles in first start Starks was 12-for-23 passing for 179 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 39-27 defeat against Charlotte. He also had five rushes for -13 yards. Impact With Cam Fancher (collarbone) and Kasen Weisman (ankle) both out, Starks made his first FAU start Saturday. It did not go great for him as he completed just over 50 percent of his passes and lost a fumble which was returned for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter. He also threw his first career touchdown pass, a 65-yard pass to Omari Hayes in the third quarter. If Weisman is forced to miss another week, Starks would be set to start Saturday's season finale at Tulsa.
