Impact After a five-touchdown outing against Ohio, the bloom is maybe coming off the rose a big. Last week, Perry had four total touchdowns, but also threw two picks against SE Louisiana. This week, he only completed 44.8 percent of his passes, and 108 yards simply won't cut it.

Impact Burton suffered an apparent injury in last week's win over Southeastern, however, early signs suggest he'll be able to go Saturday against the Knights. The redshirt junior has caught a touchdown in each of the first two games to open up the year and figures to be plenty involved in the passing attack upon his return to action.

Johnny Ford - Will not end up playing Ford (undisclosed) is not in uniform ahead of Saturday's game against UCF, FAU Owl's Nest reports.

Impact Head Coach Willie Taggert had mentioned Thursday that Ford was probable for Saturday's action but the redshirt junior will be sidelined for a third straight game. Ford will look to make his 2022 debut next Saturday against Purdue, while Larry McCammon figures to handle the majority of the carries out of the backfield once again.

Je'Quan Burton - Questionable for Week 3 Burton is questionable to play in Saturday's game against UCF, Zachary Weinberger of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Impact Burton apparently injured himself early in last week's win over Southeastern Louisiana and did not come back in. The redshirt junior had snagged a touchdown in each of the first two games this year while combining for 151 yards. Lajohntay Wester had a massive game in his absence and could be due for a repeat performance if Burton is unable to suit up.

Jahmal Edrine - Questionable to play Saturday Edrine is listed as questionable ahead of Saturday's game against UCF, Zachary Weinberger of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Impact Edrine was unavailable last Saturday against Southeastern Louisiana and may be in jeopardy of missing a second consecutive game. The redshirt freshman had a brilliant showing Sept. 3, as he broke loose for nine catches for 105 yards and two touchdowns on a whopping 14 targets. It's highly unlikely Edrine will have another single-game output even close to that, but there's a chance he could factor more into the passing attack once able to return.

Johnny Ford - Probable for Saturday Owls head coach Willie Taggert said Thursday that Ford is probable for Saturday's game against UCF, Zach Weinberger of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Impact Ford has been sidelined for the first three games of the season, despite once being listed as probable before a Sept. 3 loss against Ohio. Assuming he's able to go, Ford will likely cut into Larry McCammon's workload and could eventually surpass him as the lead back. The South Florida transfer logged the best numbers of his career in 2021 with 131 carries for 831 yards and five touchdowns, while adding an additional 280 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
