ImpactSmith had easily his best game of the season Thursday as he set season highs in receptions, targets and yards, in addition to scoring his second touchdown of the season. After Cam Fancher (collarbone) leaving the game in the first quarter, Smith showed a clear connection with Kasen Weisman. With Fancher now ruled out for the season, Smith could see an increased role in the Owls' final three games.

He set a season-high with 40 receiving yards and broke out with 61 yards on the ground thanks to runs of 30 yards and 22 yards. He came into the game with just one rushing attempt on the season. The team showed a clear motivation to get him more involved in the offense so he's worth keeping an eye on as the season nears its close.
